Janet McIntyre

Experience
Janet McIntyre is a versatile healthcare consultant, speaker and author. As a past president and current legislative liaison, she is on the board for Colorado Medical Group Management Association. In 2009, Janet founded JEM Healthcare Consultants, LLC. With more than 25 years' experience in the healthcare industry, she has a good understanding of the challenges and hurdles providers and managers face in their practices. As a practice manager, she researched, selected, procured and implemented a new practice management system with complementary electronic medical record for a seven-clinic specialty practice.

Carolyn Pickles

Experience
Carolyn Pickles has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, both in private practice and hospital management and administration. Within the private practice arena, she has overseen the growth of a practice that more than doubled in size, mergers, moves, build outs, renovations, implementation and integration of computer and telephone systems, and compliance, as well as finance and billing, operations, information management, human resources, risk management, and more. On the hospital side, her experience includes managing internal medicine ancillary services and a start-up billing operation for 70 hospital-based physicians.

In 2006 she started her own consulting firm, and provides project based consulting for single and multispecialty physicians and physician groups as well as interim practice management services.

Derek Kosiorek, CPEHR, CPHIT

Experience
Derek Kosiorek has more than a decade of experience working with technology in a healthcare setting. In his role of clinic information systems consultant and director of office automation for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, he worked closely with large and small practices all over the country and with a wide variety of practice management and electronic health records systems. He is a certified professional in electronic health record (CPEHR) and health information technology (CPHIT). In 2008, Derek founded Sapphire Sky Group, a healthcare technology consulting company. Additionally, he is a consultant for the Medical Group Management Association.

John Cowell

Experience
John has over 30 years of consulting and client service business experience. For 17 years he was a CPA/tax consultant with Deloitte & Touche in Detroit, Sao Paulo, Brazil, New York City and finally as the Partner-In-Charge of Tax Services for upstate New York, providing personal and corporate tax consulting services to a variety of clients, including medical practices.

In 1990 one of John's clients, The Lawyers Cooperative Publishing Company, was sold for over $800 million. John was hired by the major shareholder family to set up and run a "family office" to manage and invest their capital. He spent the next 10 years creating "start-ups", buying companies, managing capital, and providing tax and financial consulting services to the family members and their companies. He left the family office and started Highlander Advisors, an investment company, BrokenMyth Studios, a 3D animation studio, and DNA Computer Consulting, a firm specializing in providing IT services to medical practices.

Matthew Cowell

Experience
Matt started his professional career in the Navy as a Sonar Technician and spent three years in England. Upon returning to the US he attained his Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and put those skills to use providing services to medical research institutions as a sales consultant. He tailored microscopy solutions in the areas of cardiovascular, vision, oncology and various other specialties involved in research and development. Bringing together his knowledge of technology and the medical industry he helped co-found DNA Computer Consulting, Inc. to meet the growing needs of medical practices.
