The Irish Independent recently named Welch Allyn, a leading global manufacturer of frontline medical products and solutions, to its top 10 among "The 50 Best Workplaces in Ireland," the country's most comprehensive study of workplace culture. This is the second consecutive year that Welch Allyn placed on the list and the first time the company earned a top 10designation. Welch Allyn also received special recognition for workplace innovation for its comprehensive and creative approach to employee communication.

The study conducted by the Great Place to Work ® Institute Ireland identified the top organizations that foster employee relationships based on trust, pride and enjoyment. Organizations are selected primarily on a basis of a Trust Index ™ confidential employee surveys that rate the employer on approximately 50 elements related to credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. In addition, the company must complete a Culture Audit, through open-ended responses, that explores the company's philosophy, human resource practices, employee communication, recognition programs, diversity efforts and more.

The Welch Allyn Ireland operation was established in 1973 as the company's first manufacturing site outside of the United States. The company moved to Navan in 1981 and eventually settled into its existing location in the IDA Business Park in 2001 with the establishment of the European Shared Service operations. It has since grown to include global production of key products as well as management of sales, marketing, research and development, finance, quality assurance and regulatory affairs outside the United States and Canada.
